The examples below are intended to show the range of what can be accomplished with 360 Virtual Tours today. Instead of stuffing all clients into a couple pre designed templates we specialize in working with you and/or your designers to create a solution that uniquely meets your needs. Enjoy. And if ever the thought, "Oh, wow." comes to mind, think how effective a reaction that would be for your site visitors....
Hawaiian Wanderings
Twenty Five 360VR images shot on several Hawaiian islands, often on the run, quite literally. No time and almost no control. But the collection provides an opportunity to demonstrate several virtual tour capabilities.
Features:
-
Day / night view toggle from the Manele Bay terrace (opening view). Toggle by clicking the sun or moon symbols. This could be done any time you want to show the same space in multiple states, such as a meeting room in various configurations or before/after a remodeling job.
-
Haleakala Sunrise Animation. Pan around to see how the scene changes during sunrise. After the animation click the appropriate sun symbol to see just that moment. (Similar to the Manele Bay terrace example.)
-
Intro motion on most panos. The Omni Resort study found that the "richer" the media experience the more effective it was. Adding motion along with sound (and even more with voice over narration) makes the VR experience more persuasive. Compare moving from pano to pano via the listbox (with intro motion) vs. the Google Map (without motion).
-
Automatic multi resolution. Standard definition in the browser window automatically switches to HD in full screen mode.
The Eisner - American Museum
of Advertising and Design
The museum had two primary goals:
-
To help establish credibility and awareness within the advertising and design community both regionally and nationally and show how the museum functions.
-
To easily show the unique qualities of the space to parties interested in holding events there.
Features:
-
Navigating between nodes using both a listbox and hotspots. The hotspots can remain visible all the time or be hidden for a cleaner image. Clicking a hotspot "zooms" the viewer toward the new viewpoint.
-
Background ambient sound that enhances the sense of "being there" and an audio tour guide.
Stark House
(If you haven't already, first check out the comparison between stills and the 360VR of the pool.)
This location was photographed for the company that did the tile work.
Feature:
"Thumbnail" navigation. Select the view you want from the drop down thumbnail gallery to be transported there.
Music Under Glass
Music Under Glass is a series of winter evening family events at Milwaukee’s Mitchell Park Conservatory (The Domes).
Features:
-
Animation of the Hula Dancer.
-
Soundtrack, including background sound and music.
-
Thumbnail navigation. Run your cursor over the thumbnails along the bottom and see a larger preview. Click the thumbnail to change to that view.
Reilly Summer House
This is a fairly complete tour of a recently remodeled vacation home.
Features:
-
Floor plan navigation with clickable hotspots to move from node to node. Visited nodes are shown in a different color.
-
Field of View indicator on the map to show exactly where you are looking. This greatly helps people with special orientation.
-
Compare zoom transitions between nodes and the new motion transitions. These are shown in two separate versions of the tour. This is the first test of motion transition, but it shows great promise for better giving more of a sense of actually moving from place to place and conveying the spatial relationship between nodes.
Bel Canto Chorus & Orchestra
This single 360VR image conveys the experience of seeing the performance in the magnificent Basilica of St. Josaphat. To give a broader viewpoint the camera was placed atop an 11' pole.
Features:
The original image had cables and recording equipment that needed to be retouched out. To see a comparison click here.
